Queens Hotel

Queens Hotel is the district’s oldest pub and has been given a new chapter. For the past 15 years, Carly and Adam Child have been the ones keeping that heart beating. While plenty of North Queensland pubs have been snapped up by big corporations, they’ve kept the Queens independent. Since reopening in July 2025, the response has said it all. Locals have filled the place, raising a glass not just to a new bar, but to the people who’ve made sure Ayr’s oldest pub is still a local pub.
